About Sarvaanga
our teacher
"Sthiram Sukham Asanam" - the stable and comfortable way of practicing yoga. Following this principle and keeping in mind the limitations and comfort of our body during practice, at Sarvaanga, the prime focus is laid on breath in sync with the movements. This puts our body at ease and makes it more flexible.
Yoga emphasizes on the significance of the mind-body connection. As we go through different phases of life and navigate through the ups and downs, we are impacted at different levels. It was at one such low phase that our teacher, Sundarambal aka Sunitha, started doing yoga. She noticed a considerable shift in her well-being, improved energy levels and gained greater clarity with consistent practice. This served as motivation to get trained as a yoga teacher in the prestigious Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandir (KYM), R.A. Puram.
What started out as lockdown sessions with family motivated her to extend it to neighbours and friends. It later evolved into full-fledged classes both in person and online catering to neighbours and friends. This paved the way for conducting individual and group classes to clientele in India, U.K., Australia etc.
At Sarvaanga, we teach Vinyasa yoga - a style of yoga which is a flow of sequential movements.

Master your breath, let the self be in bliss, contemplate on the sublime within you.
